It’s been a busy afternoon here in the capital of Burma. I’ve organised multiple domestic air tickets (impossible to do from Australia), local currency, met representatives from one of our hotels with an envelope full of cash (credit cards are non-existent here) and once my homework was done, wandered the dusty, crazy streets of my favourite city.

Curious to see how the new Nikon D600 handles ‘candid’ photography, I explored back streets, overpasses and the docks by the river. All good it seems though as it’s so fast and seems so confident in its operation, you do need to watch the shutter speed and focus point from time to time.

Off to the temples of Bagan tomorrow… And maybe a birthday drink (or two).
